Pasture-raised Chicken Breasts

£16.96
Only 5 available

We source our chicken from Farm2Fork in Devon or Nempnett Pastures in Bristol. Their pasture-raised chickens live an outdoor life where they are allowed to mature slowly. Alongside fresh pasture, their diets are supplemented with grain to provide a nutritionally complete and balanced diet, free from antibiotics and GMOs.

Raised outside during the milder weather between April to September, the chickens enjoy life with 24/7 access to organic pastures.

Approx 500-600g. With skin or skinless – will vary depending on availability.

Just like our beef the chicken is reared using a seasonal production model, so to provide the summer quality year round Farm2Fork and Nempnett Pastures freeze all of their chicken as soon as they get it back from the processor. Processed at 10 weeks old minimum.

Defrosting guidelines

  • Plan in advance how long it will take to defrost to make sure it’s ready to cook when you need it

  • We recommend defrosting your meat slowly in the fridge at 4°C – 12hrs/kg. If you’re in a rush you can defrost in a warm room 20°C – 4hrs/kg

  • Place the meat in a large dish to catch any juices

  • Once defrosted the meat should be soft when pressed

  • Once defrosted keep in the fridge and get out 2 hours before cooking to bring it up to room temperature
